For Such a Time as This

". . . Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14

Ryan leaves for Budapest, Hungary on June 23rd! This is an awesome experience for him, and we are very thankful to the Lord for providing this opportunity for him to share the gospel of Christ with others. Ryan was chosen to act the part of Jesus in the street drama the group will perform at least 50 times while in Hungary. I learned, after the fact, that he may have been chosen because he was the only one who said he could do a front handspring. Did I know he could do a front handspring???? Did he know he could do a front handspring???? Did he realize that he'd be doing at least 100 front handsprings during his time in Budapest???? Actually, he was definitely primed for this role his whole life. It requires a lot of emotion and incredible timing. He and his friend, Justin, who plays Satan, must sword fight in time with sound effects with pvc pipes. Believe me, it is pretty impressive.
The team learned the drama in a day and a half and performed it for the church a couple of weeks ago. The story of Christ will be told in Hungarian by tape while the team acts it out. Of course, we heard it in English, and it was powerful. The entire thing is learned to counts because they will not be able to rely on what they hear since none of them know Hungarian! I will be sending out dvd's of the drama to those who are on his prayer team or to those who request one.
