When I'm not doing my "real" job, I get to help bring creativity to the classrooms! Tessa's class is reading Misty of Chincoteague, so we made this mural for their wall.
Another group of third graders is reading The Chronicles of Narnia, so I created a wardrobe for them to go through to enter their classroom.

Unfortunately, when Tessa's friends came after Christmas, there was no snow to be found. :( We visited some caverns instead of sledding. It was pretty neat, but just not the same.
All the children at school had to create a collage based on a favorite Christmas carol. Tessa had fun with this project! Most children did their projects on a piece of poster board, but we chose a canvas so that it can be enjoyed for years to come.
Kelly and the other AWANA leaders planned a drive-in movie night for the first night back after Christmas vacation. Each child was supposed to create something to drive to the theater in. As you can see, some got very creative! Nate chose a pirate ship. Ross chose a race car. Tessa chose a horse-drawn sleigh--surprised? :) Our creativity ended up costing us when another family decide it would be fun to make their vehicles at our house, too! We had a great time and enjoyed the fact that we had a vacant room to make them. That will not be the case in the future.

Kelly was on popcorn duty!
