The weather was absolutely lovely this weekend. I love fall and can't wait for the cooler weather and the change of scenery. I was determined to get some decorating done this weekend--really trying to have it finished before my October 1st deadline.

The Beginning

Michael hung up the black shelves that I bought at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago for $5. I had no idea when I bought them where they would end up, but I am thrilled with their new home. The Boston ferns are a bit over the top, but I hate to replace them when they look so good!

The mantle got a bit of a makeover this morning as well. The wisteria and hydrangeas are put away until spring.

Michael also hung up my other Hobby Lobby find on the the back porch. I was up early before church spraying it black. Then using stuff I had here and there, I stuffed it pretty full! I think it needs some tweaking as I am well aware that flower arranging is not my thing--never has been and probably never will be! Yes, I know there is a whole world of artificial flower haters out there, but I can live with them. And I really love the welcome that Kelly put up over my back door last week while I ran an errand. That was a very nice surprise! I love her new business!

I too love the tilt and Loooooove the fall faux-ledge. You have a knack for the faux whether you admit it or not.
