Blessed!

I realized how blessed I was today to work at a Christian school in Tennessee--a red state. The day after a very difficult, emotional election, I did not have to face the other side. That was a relief. We were all able to process our grief and share our faith and encourage each other to rest in the sovereignty of God.

It would be nice, albeit bittersweet, if I could focus on the fact that this generation of young people came out in record numbers and were a force to be reckoned with. They were able to be a part of history by putting aside the racist views of previous generations. That should be a good thing--a thing to celebrate. Unfortunately, they also put aside the moral and religious convictions of previous generations. I'm having a hard time rejoicing in that.

Venting too...hope you don't mind me hijacking this space...LOL (wink)

Yes, look to the positive my friend even when it's so tough. I was glued to the live coverage here with the teens, such a late night! whew...

Think on these words; ignorance of the agenda in progress now, uninformed and easily impressionable youth for sure, the end of racism is a good thing, four year terms are a great thing, and the faithful community praying hard that this "moral virus" doesn't ruin much in its path. A very definite wolf in sheep's clothing here! Personally, I am aghast at the ones I speak to who have no idea of the platform in hand, just that they preferred not to have a woman (a woman in fact with very COOL black boots I must say!)as VP. Today the media is having a laugh with knifing the poor woman, a crying shame. And Biden's claim of faith is a joke, he does NOT speak for the majority, believe me as 30 Bishops asked their parishioners NOT to vote for him!

So, let us rejoice in four year terms and a minimal amount of damage done. Let's sit back and watch...the empty promise of "We can"...

For all these things we pray alongside of you from up here. Big hugs! I will catch up with you too, privately.
