STILL GOING . . .

I'm not sure that I'm actually going to finish decorating in time for Christmas this year. I did a charity tour of homes today and was even more inspired! Yep, that's what I need: more inspiration. I told one homeowner that I was heading out to buy a case of Red Bull so that I could finish! Seriously. I did manage to get a few things done this weekend--but only a few. I don't know where the time goes.  Once again I'm linking up to Donna's party at Funky Junk.

Imagine my surprise when I found these lovely black balls that I bought last year after Christmas.  Unfortunately, what I had planned to do with them can not happen.  Since I forgot I bought them, I also forgot to order the letters that I was going to use to decorate them.  Thank the Lord for back-up plans.

There is one--and I stress only one--good thing about drop ceilings.  You can hang things from them quite nicely.  Now one day, we will have finished redoing every ceiling in this house, but for now, we must find ways to *enjoy* them.  Tessa's room now has the lovely black balls hanging from her ceiling. These photos do not do them justice.

The buzz word this year seems to be WISH which is okay with me!  I love it.

And of course, the monogram never goes out of style.

And since I didn't get done what I wanted, I went through the double doors and took a picture of Kelly's window treatment.  Isn't it just wonderful?  This room used to be our dining room, and when we split the house in two, it became her living room.  I only show it now to say that just a year ago, her ceiling was not done.  See--we are making progress! I needed to hear that.  For those who are new here, we live in a circa 1860 house that housed a school for the twelve years before we bought it.  Think nasty.

Love the hanging from the ceiling idea! Very pretty!

My WALLS in my bedroom growing up where made of donna conna, which is like bulletin board material. What a BLAST to hang posters from! So I totally know where you're coming from with ease of hanging. :)

Thanks for linking up!

Hello Denise ~I've just strolled in for my first visit...I've enjoyed taking a peek at your past posts. You've got so many wonderful ideas. Your blog is so beautifully inviting.
We share similar taste for so many of the same creative design elements.

As fall came to a close I looked forward to winter (that's fast approaching), bringing a festive inspiration for a few DIY decorations and gifts, with a little baking in between.
Don't you love the aroma that fills the air during this season?
My cat also appreciates the evergreens and an occasional ping pong toss of my (newly created and not yet dried) ornaments...

I've bookmarked you in my favs.
I look forward to coming by your charming blog again.
Come by for a visit. Your company would be nice.

Sweet holiday wishes,
Sara

Thanks for visiting and commenting on the vinyl. I cut it out with the Cricut machine. Hubby gave it to me last year for Christmas. This was the first time I had cut mutiple vinyl and it was so easy. I love the black balls hung in the room. They look beautiful. I can't wait to see what your plans are for them next year. I'm having a giveaway if you'd like to enter.

Love the idea of hanging things from the ceiling! It's so whimsical and happy looking! I'm thinking now!

I just entered the blog world and can't figure out what I'm doing yet (so don't even look at my blog! - tail between legs!) I have about 3 or so minutes to myself everyday - homeschooling two boys with no family around!

I thoroughly enjoy reading everyone else's blog, though! And get so inspired! Thank you for sharing what you do!~Kolein NY
