We never go into a project with a budget or a direction. I know, scary. Those things just sort of evolve as we come across things or we have a brainy idea.
My decorating for the most part is driven by what I find thrifting or shopping husband Michael's warehouse.
Sanford Michael calls me all the time to tell me what he just came across. Some things are good, and some things are not so good. Honestly, bless his heart, his talent is not in the envisioning or in the recognition of true potential; it is in the finding.
I believe that God knows my every need and my every want, and it is He who ultimately provides for them. I needed (because there are no closets) and wanted (because they are so cool) lockers for the kids' tiny bunk room. Michael "found" some. And I could not be happier especially since "found" means that they did not cost us anything.
A friend sprayed them white for me, and I added the personalization beads. My daughter, her friend, and the three grandchildren all have their own locker for storage. And I get one for "stuff."
What fun Kenzie had this past weekend unloading her and Jett's suitcases into their lockers. Once emptied, all luggage is stored in the trunk of the car. There is just no room for it inside.
I bought the lettered beads and the charms at Hobby Lobby. I couldn't hold out for Michael to find them somewhere.
Day 8: The lockers make me smile.
